About The Book

Every day in every way I am getting better and better. --Emile CouéMy Method Including American Impressions (1923) describes autosuggestion a psychological self-help technique developed by Émile Coué at the beginning of the 20th century. This technique also known as the Coué Method is about using ones imagination and repeating a specific sentence--such as the above quote--at the beginning and at the end of each day in order to cure ones troubles. This book also describes Coués impressions visiting the US. This is what he said about his American lectures: American audiences have two characteristics which I have rarely encountered in Europe: they smile while they listen to you and at the end of the lecture they are fresher than at the beginning. While Coué was more popular in Europe than in the US his method influenced some famous American self-help experts such as Napoleon Hill Norman Vincent Peale and Robert H. Schuller.
