My Name Is Maude

Katharine Murray Steele long felt compelled to tell the story of her mother who took her first teaching position in 1924 in the Southern Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina. Katharine went to Rebel's Creek photographed the mountains and the little house where Maude stayed.
