My Piece and My Peace

<p>I’ll be the first to admit that if you would have known me as an adolescent you wouldn’t believe me capable of writing a book. My focus through high school was basketball but l graduated to get a strong education at Morehouse College. From there I defied a down economy to land a well-paying job in the insurance industry. The trajectory of my life changed though when I met who I very quickly knew would be my spouse.</p><p>She challenged me to be the best I could which revealed the deepest parts of my persona and then she left.</p><p>Having sacrificed my livelihood for the possibility of spending more time with those I cared about I found myself in a free fall with nothing to grasp but my faith. Led to believe that my romantic relationship wasn’t over and that we eventually live our dreams I battled through circumstances that would break most people and nearly lost myself in the process.</p>
