The author met her husband in 2015 a cat fanatic who had never owned a cat due to allergies. When they moved from Spain to Australia in 2018 his allergies disappeared and they adopted a ginger street cat named George. Stylised photographs of George appear throughout the book alongside more flat graphics of other characters.</p><p><strong>A portion of the profits from sales of this book are donated to Paws and Claws the organisation from which they adopted George.</strong></p>
