My Rebirth

“Life is indeed beautiful if only we knew how deeply we are loved.” I knew that I shall die of a heart attack from the day my father died of the same! Physically I was almost a 3D image of him. He didn’t have any vices like the habit of drinking or smoking that weakened the heart. I too didn’t fall for these. Just like him I was quite healthy too. I didn’t want to become an early victim. And to keep fit I walked and exercised regularly. Yet when the death came calling I was completely unprepared! This book is a detailed and true account of my valiant fights against death when it came calling as a massive heart attack. Then a series of complications developed after open-heart surgery. I suffered fluid accumulation in my lungs. It lead to heart arrest lung surgery and pneumonia. It warranted a prolonged stay of 45 days in the hospital under intensive care. Stress is considered an important cause of modern-day ailments. I have touched upon my life briefly in the 1st chapter to explain to some extent my mental makeup lifestyle priorities etc. The 2nd chapter is my diary of daily events in the hospital. It details the crisis I went through and the effect it had on my mind and body. It presents the high calibre medical care I received the rollercoaster ride I went through with my family and the immense support we got from our friends neighbours relatives and colleagues. The 3rd chapter presents how I recovered my health and fulfilled the main goal of my rebirth.
