My Untold Stories

<p><span style=color: rgba(83 90 98 1)>Have you ever been through something and you didn't bother going into detail about it because you thought what's the point? Have you ever wondered if the difficult roads you have walked were in vain? Well I have. </span></p><p><br></p><p><span style=color: rgba(83 90 98 1)>In 2020 I made a heavy and very unpopular decisions to walk away from my employment at Baylor University in a very public way. I left loudly. For years in both that institution and the church I've seen black and brown Christians suffer psychologically in silence because they felt they had too much to lose. Their livelihood their community their sanity. </span></p><p><br></p><p><span style=color: rgba(83 90 98 1)>Gary and I made a faith saturated decision to walk away and (risk) losing it all...</span></p><p><span style=color: rgba(83 90 98 1)>What is she doing? Many asked. </span></p><p><span style=color: rgba(83 90 98 1)>What's the point? Others wondered.</span></p><p><span style=color: rgba(83 90 98 1)>What happened? The community pondered.</span></p><p><br></p><p><span style=color: rgba(83 90 98 1)>I have taken the last few years to heal rebuild and take the much needed time to get it all out.</span></p><p><br></p><p><span style=color: rgba(83 90 98 1)>In this book I talk about the why as well as the what. And all the beauty that has bloomed from the ashes for me and my family.</span></p><p><br></p><p><span style=color: rgba(83 90 98 1)>*Along the way I provide educational opportunities with references to historical context. My prayer is that you walk away a litle more enlightened than when you came.</span></p><p><br></p><p><span style=color: rgba(83 90 98 1)>Thank you for taking the time to read my untold stories.
