Why would you want a girl? Are you yet 18 when you want to marry? Can we look for a better alliance? How many years are required to study? Why study so much merely to do household chores after your marriage? Arent these the same questions asked to a girl by most of them?  My support for feminism is unabashed and I am not ashamed of being a woman. Members of my family believe that having a girl child is a sin a burden and a challenge. In my family I have always tried to show that ladies can be just as capable as men; they can live their own lives and pursue their dreams.   Despite the fact that my grandfather insisted that my mother educate us I cannot deny that I am the person I am today because of my grandfather. Regardless of the scenario or resistance from my family members my parents stood by my side supporting me like pillars. Together your willpower and the support of your family can break any strongest wall you encounter on your journey to freedom of choice especially for girls. Despite what other girls parents do the woman in this book works hard right from the start to get her children to pursue education and dreams irrespective of what other parents do.
