Jinder is an established storyteller in contemporary Punjabi fiction. The stories in this collection are different from his earlier stories. These stories reveal his unique narrative experience and the subtlety depth and ingenious touches of the narrative. All the stories see the man surrounded by anti-human phenomena through human response. This human approach of his instead of focusing on any religion deed party movement doctrine and caste creates man in the context of human needs shortcomings and helplessness of circumstances and thus are free of any caste class gender and age. It is because of his pure thinking that he lends space to the pace of change in Punjabi mentality and thinking. There are wounds in this space but not suicidal tendencies. Hasty but not impatient. The narratives of the stories are concise restrained simple and one dimensional but the working issues and situations under them are complex and intricate. Jinder''s achievement lies in his simple and restrained narration of these complex issues.
