نجوى الغروب - Najwa Ghouroub

تتفرّد دار هاشيت أنطوان، تحت دمغة نوفل، بنشر أعمال ميخائيل نعيمه، وهو أحد أبرز الأدباء العرب المعاصرين وأدباء المهجر اللبنانيين. تتميّز كتاباته بمحاولات تنقية الأدب العربي من الزخارف والكلام الزائد، والاقتراب من تصوير واقع الأشياء والأحداث. وقد انطبع أسلوبه بالبساطة والوضوح والصراحة، وببعده عن المبالغة، لا سيّما في الوصف أو السرد أو التصوير، كما تبدو ألفاظه أقرب إلى اللّهجة العاميّة أحيانًا، ما يزيد رغبة القرّاء، من كلّ الأعمار، في مطالعة كتبه.<br>كان ميخائيل نعيمه قد أصبح في الرابعة والثمانين عندما صدر له نجوى الغروب، وكان يحسب أنّه سيكون آخر مؤلّفاته قبل الرحيل. لذلك جاء هذا الكتاب غريبًا في حلّته؛ فلا هو نثر كعهدنا بالكتابة النثريّة، ولا هو شعر كما يُفهم بالشعر. بل هو من بدايته إلى منتهاه صلاة واحدة اتّخذت شكل حوار من طرف واحد بين المصلّي وربّه الذي يبقى حاضرًا أبدًا، ومصغيًا من غير أن يجيب.<br>وهكذا يتسنّى لنعيمه أن يؤدّي لربّه، باتّضاع ما بعده اتّضاع وحرارة أداء وعفويّة ما بعدها حرارة، عصارة عمر كامل من الكدّ الفكريّ، والجهاد الروحيّ، والحسّ الوجدانيّ، والنفاذ ما أمكن النفاذ في عالم المكان من الزمنيّ إلى دنيا الماوراء. ولعلّ خير ما يجسّد طبيعة هذه الصلاة-الحوار شكلًا ومضمونًا قوله:<br>طفلك أنا يا ربّي،<br>وهذه الأرض<br>البديعة، الكريمة، الحنون،<br>التي وضعتني في حضنها<br>ليست سوى المهد<br>أدرج منه إليك. <br>Hachette Antoine under the Naufal imprint exclusively publishes the works of Mikhail Naimy one of the most prominent contemporary Arab writers and Lebanese diaspora authors. His writings are distinguished by attempts to purify Arabic literature from ornaments and excess words and to approach depicting the reality of things and events. His style is marked by simplicity clarity and frankness and by his distance from exaggeration.Mikhail Naimy was already eighty-four when 'Whispers of Sunset' was published and he thought it would be his last work before departure. Therefore this book came strange in its form; it is neither prose as we know prose writing nor is it poetry as poetry is understood. Rather from beginning to end it is one prayer that took the form of a one-sided dialogue between the worshiper and his Lord who remains ever-present and listening without responding. <br>Thus Naimy is able to offer his Lord with utmost humility and warmth of performance and spontaneity the essence of an entire life of intellectual toil spiritual struggle emotional sense and penetration as far as possible from the spatial-temporal world to the realm of the beyond. Perhaps what best embodies the nature of this prayer-dialogue in form and content is his saying:<br>'I am Your child my Lord<br>And this beautiful generous tender Earth<br>That You placed me in its lap<br>Is nothing but the cradle<br>From which I crawl toward You.<br>
