Nanocomposites for the Reduction of Bacterial Adherence to Solids

This book deals with bacterial adhesion on the solid surfaces and how we can reduce the adherence in order to reduce the infection related to medical devices because first step in medical devices-related infection is bacterial adhesion to the surface and after that the increasing the number of the adhered bacteria which is produced of a biofilm after that infection. The surfaces of the biomaterial are the places of the microbial colonization. So that the studies try to change the properties of polymers surface in order to create new material with lower bacterial adhesion.
