Nanoemulsion-Based Delivery of Nigella Sativa in Diabetes Management

This book developed and optimized a nanoemulsion containing Nigella sativa oil and an antidiabetic drug to improve diabetes treatment. Using high-energy emulsification and a design of experiments (DOE) approach the researchers enhanced drug delivery by optimizing formulation parameters. The nanoemulsion showed favorable physical properties sustained drug release safety in cell studies and improved glucose control in diabetic animal models. Overall the formulation demonstrated enhanced bioavailability and therapeutic effectiveness suggesting it could be a promising alternative for diabetes management.
