The title “Naqsh-e-Khayālāt” encapsulates the essence of this poetic collection serving as a “Map to the Musings” that define the Tarjumāniyat—the existence of Tarjumān - that is their writings. Scripted in Latin the poems in Hindavi and can be understood through a rudimentary knowledge of Hindi. The collection emulates the tenets of Philosophical Romanticism and believes that existence must not be solely viewed through reason but intuition creativity factor in heavily thus emphasizing on the emotions felt. Aiming to challenge the status-quo of a masculine perspective in Urdu literature the Tarjumāniyat idealises universal emotions that transcend gender race or creed emphasising neutrality. It thus unifies human experiences encountered throughout life crossing physical emotional and societal boundaries. The Tarjumān is not meant to act as a name or title it reflects the existence of the poet who has taken it as their duty to translate emotions into words something that they believe to be lacking in the literature around them. They believe in some form of divine order (although their religiosity is absent to say the least) to have been ordained as a translator / Tarjumān to the emotions that are felt by everyone. Their basal tenet that the base emotions that one feels is common to all irrespective of gender sexuality race or creed fuels the poet to structure their works so that it may resonate with and internalized by anyone who reads their work.
