National information policy proposals of selected African countries

The book surveys the state of national information services with regard to national information policies in selected African countries. The study is an attempt to review and analyse existing policies. There is a general lack of overall national information policies in most of countries which ultimately reflects inefficient information services and systems. Overall national information policies could coordinate existing resources and systemsand support the development of appropriate and strong infrastructure. The book makes recommendations that may contribute to strengthening the current efforts to formulate and implement national information policies.
