Following a visit to a South Carolina arboretum in the 1990s with educational resources on site the author was inspired to develop such an arboretum on Prince Edward Island. In doing so hardiness trials of plant species hybrids and cultivars from around the world were established. Tours and educational sessions for the disabled and other interested individuals and groups are provided.</span></p><p></p><p><span style=background-color: rgba(249 249 249 1); color: rgba(0 0 0 1)>The author has since moved forward to perpetually protect the property under a Demonstration Habitat Protection Agreement pursuant to the Wildlife Conservation Act R.S. P.E.I. 1988 Cap. W-4. 1.
