<p>In Odu the Akinolus are known for generational poverty which is caused by the family legend. The family heritage that resulted from the legend disgusts Olu.</p><p>Olu decides to drop out of school with the hope of becoming a music star and be rich like Magic a young promising artiste. At 13 despite Olu does not know Magic's place he goes to search for him: He likes to learn from him. The decision turns to a journey. The journey becomes a great adventure. The adventure leads Olu into the heart of the world. For about a decade Olu goes about making efforts without any outcome. On a voyage to Sierra Leone on the high sea nature responds to Olu's confrontation. The tempest rises. There is a shipwreck. Time is visited. History is vindicated. Destiny is manifested. When Olu returns to Odu life is never the same again.</p><p></p>
