Dipak the protagonist of this novel was attracted by communist revolution when a college student. He joined a revolutionary movement. But this extremist terroristic movement failed and was crushed by the government.  Like many other romantic young revolutionaries Dipak became frustrated at first. But the love of a girl inspired him to look for a new path for uplift of the society and he could ultimately find a new path for creating the desired world. This novel covers the chaos terror and uncertainty associated with the so called ‘Naxalite Movement’ in India during the end of the 1960s.
