In The 1950'S He Immigrated To Canada And Some Years Later He And His Young Family Moved To New York Where He Joined A Multi-National Corporation In Technical Research. Extensive World Travel Allowed Him To See How Different Cultures Contributed To A New Era Of Technology. The Author'S Viewpoint Is That The Global Future Is Too Dependent On Industrial Output But That Alternatives Are Rarely Discussed. Now Retired He And His Wife Live In British Columbia. The Writing Of This Book Was A Departure From His Long Term Interest In The History Of The Arts In The Twentieth Century.
