This monograph is a semiotic reflection on nature embeds in the music of Ayinde Barrister and Haruna Ishola. Using illustrations from the selected albums of these old-school musiciansthe author boldly points to some significant aspects of the affinity between man and Nature. The monograph shows that Nature is the source of the artists'' musical idioms. By extension the monograph indicates that musical discourse in Nigeria is enriched by nature''s phenomena. These nature''s phenomena are explored by the musical artists as sign vehicles to promote their brands of music to assert power and domination and to communicate social and moral messages.
