Shortly after her 26th birthday her world took a devastating turn in August 2020 when she was diagnosed with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma after five persistent doctor visits. By then the aggressive cancer had already advanced to stage 3. Despite responding well to initial intensive chemotherapy her remission was heartbreakingly brief as the cancer relapsed leading to a more daunting prognosis. This harrowing journey unfolded amid the global COVID-19 pandemic further complicating an already overwhelming situation.
