The magician gives Nazir an unusual-looking staff that has a snake's head carved on the end. He soon learns that the staff is more than a walking stick; it is a direct line to Zoltan. Gaius tells Nazir that he only needs to utter the words Al haber al asham (translated: I command you to serve) and it will respond to his every command. The practice sessions are awkward and hilariously funny as Nazir learns to use the snakehead staff.

Armed only with this snakehead staff Nazir sets out to confront and defeat the evil witch.
