About The Book

Nerve Injuries are common. This Thesis studied the regeneration of injured nerves within vein grafts. The work was performed in the laboratories of the department of plastic surgery at UT-SouthWestern Medical Center at Dallas TX. The aim of this study was to evaluate the use of a novel extracellular matrix E-Matrix on the regeneration of repaired peripheral nerves in animal experimental model. E-matrix is a complex of biological components that enhances cellular growth and proliferation. We tried to compare the effects of E-matrix to those of nerve growth factors on the nerve regeneration.
