نسر على الطاولة المجاورة - Neser ʻala tawila 'al moujawira

بعد تجربته الطويلة في الكتابة، والتي تكللت بالكثير من الجوائز، يعود الكاتب السوري خالد خليفة إلى ذاته، وينقل الأصوات من هناك هذه المرة. على عكس رواياته الطويلة، التي نقلت معاناة آخرين وتصوراتهم عن الحياة، يضع على الطاولة تصوراته هو، ويبوح للمرة الأولى بأفكاره عن الكتابة والكتّاب، متمسكاً بالحرية دائماً. يستعيد خليفة فصولاً من طفولته، ومن بداياته مع الكتابة، ولا يتعثر عندما يكتب عن العثرات السابقة، بل يقفز فوقها برشاقة، ناظراً إلى العالم كعادته بمزيجٍ من الحب والازدراء. <br>After his long experience in writing crowned with many awards Syrian writer Khaled Khalifa returns to himself conveying voices from within this time. Unlike his long novels which conveyed the suffering and perceptions of others about life he puts his own perceptions on the table revealing for the first time his thoughts about writing and writers always holding onto freedom. Khalifa recalls chapters from his childhood and his beginnings with writing and does not stumble when writing about past setbacks but leaps over them gracefully looking at the world as usual with a mixture of love and contempt.
