New Beginnings

<p>They say change is inevitable but I never expected it to sweep in like a storm upending everything I thought I had figured out. My career is in freefall my boss is less than thrilled and the only thing anchoring me lately is the bench in the park where I've been retreating to untangle my mess of a life. Enter Ruth an elderly woman with more wisdom in her smile than I could ever hope to gain in a lifetime. She talks about embracing the chaos but frankly I'm just trying not to drown in it. Oh and did I mention Derek? Because of course he's somehow part of this story too-charming infuriating and way too involved in my professional mess for comfort. I'm at a crossroads trying to decide if I should fight against the current or learn to swim with it. Ruth says change can be beautiful but she hasn't met my deadlines. Or Derek. Let's see if I can figure out how to turn all of this madness into something worth holding onto-or at least something that doesn't completely implode.</p>
