<p>This book seeks to understand the contradictions that emanate from on the one hand the institutionalization of human rights among imperial nation-states and global governmental bodies and on the other the growing embrace of human rights logics and languages by women and men who are struggling for justice across the world.</p> <p>This book was published as a special issue of the <em>International Feminist Journal of Politics</em>.</p>
