New Evaluation of Bearing Capacity of Footing on unsaturated Sand Soil

New approach for evaluating the bearing capacity of sandy soil under strip footing is introduced in this book. The bearing capacity variation with the degree of saturation is evaluated for a strip foundation where new proposed equations were introduced. The new equations are verified by experimental tests and the results were compared against other methods already used world wide. The effect of footing width on the bearing capacity were also studied and new mathematical relations are introduced.
