The objective of this article is to carry out a theoretical review of leadership in the organizations of the 21st century. The article presents a qualitative methodology making a review of articles that converge in their vision about the organizations of the 21st century. It is concluded that leaders in this new millennium have to concentrate their efforts in the successful management of change counting on human resources that know how to take advantage of the opportunities being able to understand the changes in technology for the creation of new organizational designs.
