New Perspectives and Research in Social Sciences

The COVID-19 Pandemic Crisis of 2020 and the Global Economic Crisis of 2008 can be regarded as the two severest crises of the beginning of the 21st century. Although the two crises seem different in terms of the logic of the crisis in the regard of the risk factors as well as the areas that they have originated their effects on the global economy and society seem so similar. Moreover it seems that they have one more common effect such as the re-emergence of the significance of “science” and “scientific research” in both natural and social sciences even in the current golden age of populism. The recent COVID-19 Pandemic Crisis has indeed taught all of us that scientific research is “literally” vital. In this regard it can be said that this book called “New Perspectives and Research in Social Sciences” involves eight selected studies at such point of view from five different fields of social sciences such as Economics Econometrics Public Administration Communication and International Relations. They all aim to contribute to both the importance of “scientific research in social sciences” and the existing literature.
