New towns to relieve megacities

Every year the population of cities worldwide increases by 70 million people. This corresponds to an increase of 1.4 million people per week in urban areas. Urbanisation is growing rapidly especially in Asian and African countries. 'Virtually all of the population growth expected in the coming decades will occur in the cities of developing countries.' (bpb 2014).
