The philosophy of Friedrich Nietzsche turned the generally accepted values of modern Western society upside down--religious spiritual moral ethical and Christian presumptions were all questioned tested and cast aside as ultimately useless to man and his ascension to a higher purpose a more self-actualized awareness of the universe and the meaning of his birth and ultimate demise.
