The author was born in KOLAR GOLD FIELD of Karnataka state. His father was a Bharat Gold Mine employee. He is interested in writing poems and short stories. He began writing poems short stories during his college days. Now with the convenience of the internet facility he has continued to write poems in websites like he also participated in various poetry and literature group discussions and received awards and certificates   He has also received various awards including Bharathi Award Kuralasu Award Kavimamani Award and Kavikkathir Award from Ulaga Tamil Sangam Tamil Kalai Ilakkiya Maiyam Chennai Tamil Sangam  and other Tamil welfare Societies in Tamil nadu for his best writings. Panneer Thelitha Kanneer Thuligal was the First Book for the author Selvamuthu Mannarraj from Notion Press. Nilachoru is the second poetry book by the author from Notion Press.
