No Bed of Roses

This book is moving powerful healing and educational. Our class was unusual in that we started with 49 students and graduated three years later with 48. Only one girl dropped out. Nursing robbed us of our youth and produced long term anxiety. Many of our class developed post traumatic stress. I quit counting deaths that I was present at but it was somewhere around 500. I read a nurses book who had served in Vietnam and then finally I began to cry. This book tells you exactly how it was. If we cried on duty about a patient we were chastised and if followed us on our evaluations after I returned I was finally to cry.
