Travelle Laboreor is a troubled man sojourning the United States from one hazardous job to another. He goes to a secluded beach to collect his thoughts and rescues a young surfer during a shark attack. Rendered unconscious due to blood loss he later awakens in a hospital. There he reflects upon the past seven years of his life.</p>He recalls his career as an attorney specializing in frivolous lawsuits. After winning a big case he went out on the town and fled an accident which killed a young mother. Feeling conviction Travelle set out to make amends.
