<p>Amidst a background of ethno-religious intolerance in Northern Nigeria a single father from a minority Nigerian ethnic group Emmanuel is faced with a parent's worst nightmare when his only daughter Aisha is kidnapped by an Islamic fundamentalist group Boko Haram in Maiduguri along with scores of other girls.</p><p></p><p>After exhausting all avenues available to him Emmanuel in desperation makes a decision that would change his life forever. He embarks on a journey of no return in desperate hopes of finding his daughter Aisha. Aisha on the other hand is no longer the shy little 14-year-old who left home that fateful day months ago.</p><p></p><p>Journeying through the dusty streets of Maiduguri into the grasslands and forests of Northeastern Nigeria our story chronicles the human cost of the terrorism and religious extremism in Africa.</p><p></p>
