No Roses for Abby

In Toronto after the accidental death of her son Abby leaves an abusive marriage to build a new life with her daughter. She becomes the owner of a florist shop and in a chance encounter in a bookstore meets the love of her life. <p>After travelling to England and meeting Simon's family Abby plans for their future together. Her happiness is short lived when Simon is killed while on consignment as a war correspondent in Angola. Abby had never fully understood what Simon did for a living and is both angry and devastated by her loss. Simon's closest fiend Jim helps Abby to recover from Simon's death but soon realizes he is falling in love with her. Eventually they marry forming a family of four with Abby's daughter Kate and Jim's daughter Kelly but the family is only complete when they welcome a son into the world and name him Simon.
