America is not so invincible as weve been led to believe. After nuclear attacks thousands of survivors are forced to flee the country. The Smith family find themselves living in a camp in Mexico crammed into rows upon rows of tents with other American refugees. Dignity is stripped and basic necessities are almost impossible to come by. Emmas unspeakable choices help keep them alive. Tensions within the camp are unlivable until a violent riot breaks out.
