Non-timber forest products of vegetable origin in Esmeraldas

The use of non-timber forest products (NTFPs) represents a little-explored wealth in the province of Esmeraldas Ecuador and is a key aspect in understanding the relationship between the inhabitants and the natural environment. The purpose of this book is to offer a detailed overview of NTFPs providing essential knowledge about these resources. Through a tour of one hundred plant species found in the forests of this province a compendium is presented that not only highlights their uses but also contributes to the cultural economic and scientific understanding of these products.
