Non-Verbal Communication

Non verbal communication refers to all external stimuli other than spoken or written words. It is the process of communicating through sending and receiving wordless messages. Such messages can be communicated through gesture body language or posture; facial expression and eye contact. NVC can be communicated through object communication such as clothing hairstyles or even architecture or symbols. Nonverbal communication plays a key role in every person''s day to day life from employment to romantic engagements. Our interpersonal effectiveness depends on more than words. Nonverbal messages add to or detract from our words. In effect we become the message with our nonverbal cues announcing our state of mind expectations and sense of self. Our entire beings chatter incessantly revealing what we really feel and think.
