None so Deaf As Those Who Won't Hear: A Comedietta in One Act

In this one-act play the characters find themselves in a situation where communication fails because some individuals refuse to acknowledge or address certain truths often with humorous consequences. The plot revolves around misunderstandings misinterpretations and characters who refuse to hear or accept things they do not want to confront. Typically a comedic misunderstanding develops in which one or more characters avoid hearing key pieces of information leading to a series of farcical situations. The humor often comes from the exaggerated reactions of the characters when they fail to understand what’s going on around them or when their willful ignorance leads them into increasingly absurd scenarios.
