Nonnus of Nisibis Commentary on the Gospel of Saint John

This influential mid-ninth century commentary is the first text translated from Arabic into Armenian and notable as a Christian rather than secular work. It defends the miaphysite theological position of the Armenian church against the chalcedonian of the Greek Byzantine church.
