Not So Reverend

Megan stood at the cliffs edge bloodstained and soaked by the torrential rain. Visions of her son and of those poor children flashed before her eyes. She stared at the waves as they crashed onto the jagged rocks below. She turned as she heard a voice calling from out of the darkness suddenly the decision of whether or not to jump was no longer hers to make as she lost her footing........ Seventeen years had passed since the day the dashing Reverend had arrived on her doorstep and swept her off her feet. She was so lucky or so everybody had told her after all he was the people's hero their saviour. But now at last they would know the truth......
