The book provides a wealth of information on the orders ordnance duties and requirements of those who served in the Regiment from its earliest days. It is difficult to think of another source where such details - down to for example the exact payment made to a master gunner on the Earl of Romneys expedition to the West Indies in 1694 (Five shillings a day).
