Each small rural community has its own distinctive culture often driven by a relative few local citizens. In such communities there are people who upon first contact seem warm and welcoming. However outsiders quickly discover the intolerance of those who do not appreciate new ways of doing things; those always are more comfortable keeping things static than operating in new and otherwise accepted ways.
