Noun Morphology of Kashtawari

Kashtawari forms an important dialect of Kashmiri language. It is spoken in the valley of Kashtawar lying to the southeast of the valley of Kashmir on upper Chinab. Sir. G.A Grierson in fact talks of it as being the only true dialect of Kashmiri. However the dialect has not been analysed till date within the descriptive framework. This book has attempted to develop a complete morphological profile of nouns of Kashtawari with respect to person number gender and casevis-a-vis modern descriptive model. It also presents a linguistic profile of the place enumerating the various languages spoken in the area besides Kashtawari. This book also talks about the various concepts principles and theories required for the morphological analysis of a language.
