Numerical and experimental investigation of Ti/HA FGM dental implant

The use of dental implants has increased in recent years and use of new biomaterials for creating these implant is one of the challenges of today’s science. Dental implants today are made from certain materials sometimes with a layer of bio-active coating. Due to current problems with presence of coated metal implants and in order to improve the bioactivity of implants inside living bone tissue the concept of FGM has emerged as a suitable alternative. In the current study FGM dental implants were created using Ti/HA mixture using powder metallurgy techniques with suitable biocompatibility and mechanical properties and the results of empirical experiments were compared to theoretical calculations.
