Nutrient application via seed and foliar application in peanut cultivation

About The Book

In order to achieve success in the production process of a crop it is necessary to use nutrients properly for plant growth and development. The aim of this study was to assess the efficiency of seed and foliar application of commercial products (Calcium + Boron; Cobalt + Molybdenum) to peanut crops at different application times. The experiment consisted of the following treatments: T1- Application of (Co+Mo) and (Ca+B) to the seeds; T2- Application of (Co+Mo) and (Ca+B) to the seeds plus foliar spraying of (Ca+B) (17 DAS) of the seedlings; T3- Application of (Co+Mo) and (Ca+B) to the seeds plus foliar spraying with (Ca+B) (23 DAS); T4- Application of (Co+Mo) and (Ca+B) on the seeds plus foliar spraying of (Ca+B) (29 DAS); T5- Application of (Co+Mo) and (Ca+B) on the seeds plus foliar spraying of (Ca+B) (35 DAS); T6 - Application of (Co+Mo) and (Ca+B) on the seeds plus foliar spraying of (Ca+B) (41 DAS) T7- Absolute control. Seed application of (Co+Mo) and foliar application of (Ca+B) led to a greater gain in green plant mass and greater pod weight when applied at 23 DAS.
