NUTRITIONAL STATUS : A Study on School Going Children in Jammu & Kashmir

It is well said that “First Wealth is Health” and nutrition has a profound effect on health throughout the human life course. It is generally believed that the basis of any development must commence with the development of human resource. Poor nutritional status among school children has an adverse effect on school progress. The academic achievement or performance of children in school and colleges depends upon their health status. Considering the nutrition scenario and its association with various socioeconomic factors this book is the result of investigation carried out to know the impacts of socioeconomic factors that influence the nutritional status of school going children of Primary & Middle Schools in rural areas of district Doda Jammu & Kashmir.
