About The Book

This scientific work was created in order to show the impact of the nutritional level and diet of 90 patients between 18 and 80 years old in chronic hemodialysis of a dialysis center in Santiago de Chile; for which a quantitative descriptive non-experimental cross-sectional study was carried out using a questionnaire of structured and open questions to collect information regarding their general personal history health and diet complemented with laboratory results obtained in the Medical Center. In addition each patient's BMI and Malnutrition Inflammation Score were determined. The study resulted in a constant in the nutritional level and dietary regimen of patients with chronic renal failure where their sociodemographic and clinical background can vary significantly from one region to another. Aspects such as sex weight age do not have a significant incidence in the development of this pathology that affects millions of people around the world.
