<p>Modern day sla<em>ve </em>catcher to some Black hero to others and a walking contradiction to who he was as an adolescent Elijah Steel offers his readers a look into the thoughts of a young Black man from New Orleans who just happens to be an officer.</p><p>Elijah is a Black officer with the heart and mind of an activist. From sharing his inner thoughts while arresting white racists and other Black men and <em>w</em>omen to re<em>v</em>ealing the things that take place behind the badge Elijah reveals it all. </p><p>Take a journey with Elijah as he moves from the streets of New Orleans to Jackson State University to being an officer in Louisiana who struggles with the decision of remaining an officer or becoming an activist. </p><p><br></p>
