About the Book: In India seven states situated in the North-eastern parts of the country are described as “Seven Sisters”. The background of this novel is Mizoram There are many myths and misinformation prevailing in the minds of the citizens in some parts of our country regarding the culture and traditions of the residents of the North Eastern States. Unfortunately people coming from these states to other parts of the country for their livelihood or education have to face insult and brick backs even simply because of their physical features or language. As one of the officers of the Government of India the writer had the unique opportunity to stay with the families of a remotest villagers in Mizoram and learnt their culture customs and very nature-friendly lifestyle their love & hospitality . Their honesty simplicity and strong family values are really heart-touching. The author of this novel shall be happy and remain grateful to all the readers if it can inspire & eradicate some of the wrong notions about the people of the North Eastern states of our beloved country. About the Author: Born in Chittaranjan West Bengal. At present settled in Vadodara Gujarat. Student life was spent mainly outside West Bengal. The author had to travel extensively due to official commitment as an officer of the Government of India and the National Dairy Development Board(NDDB). The author is having keen interest in learning diffident languages and cultures of different states of the country. Since childhood a vivid reader and always been interested in literature. Writing short stories based on personal experience is now the favorite pastime in the retired life. Few short stories were published in little magazines in India and abroad. This is the maiden attempt to write a Novel.
