Off-Campus Accommodation in Nigerian Tertiary Institutions

Off-campus accommodation was meant to help solve the problem of inadequate hostelaccommodation that is prone to every tertiary institution of Nigeria. The problem of off-campusaccommodation and its effect on the student this study was therefore carried out in Kwara StateUniversity Malete. The data required for the study was gathered through the instruments ofquestionnaire. A total of two hundred and ten (210) questionnaires were administered and all wasretrieved. In the course of the study and in addition to the list of hypothesis so many facts on theproblem of off campus accommodations on student were found. The aim of this research is toassess the effect or problems that off-campus accommodation has on students’ social behavior andacademic performance in Nigeria tertiary institution. The primary data was obtained throughquestionnaire administered to the respondent who completed and returned them to the researcherand the secondary data used for the study include those from relevant text books journal andseminar papers.
